When looking at self-storage you are bound to have questions, we have tried to answer all of them below.
BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS
How do I lease a storage unit?
This is very easy. Just call us for a quote, or stop by the office to get one if you are in the area. Once you have accepted your quote we will send you the lease agreement and invoice.
Will I need to pay a deposit?
An admin fee of R 250,00 is required.
Do I sign a lease and how?
Yes you do, we require a lease per unit. The lease contains our terms and conditions as well as our rental fee per month. All our leases are done on a month-to-month basis so you don’t have t worry about being tied into any long term lease. You can choose the leasing period yourself as it is your storage, your way.
What is the minimum period I can rent storage for?
One month, if you call now we can quote you on short term leases of three months or less.
How do I make payments?
Your first payment will be a direct deposit into our bank account. You’ll be asked to use the reference “New and Your Name”. This way we know you are a new tenant. Thereafter you will pay the monthly rental by direct deposit. Pay for three months. On this option we’ll send you quarterly invoices (preferred by our business clients) or payments can be made by credit card.
Where can I obtain my payment or billing history?
You’ll be emailed your invoices every month. We’ll also sms you a reminder before we debit your account, and send you a monthly statement.
Is there a late payment charge?
You’ll not have to worry about penalties for late payments as you’ll either be on debit order or would have paid up front. However if your debit order fails or you do not make your quarterly payment for whatever reason, we’ll be forced to add a R250 (minimum) late payment fee.
What happens if I want to cancel my lease and move out?
This is very easy. All we ask for a full calendar months’ notice.
How do I get my deposit back?
If you require a refund we’ll send it to you 30 days after you vacate.
