When looking at self-storage you are bound to have questions, we have tried to answer all of them below but if it is not covered, please just get in touch and we will be he happy to assist.

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

This is very easy. Just call us for a quote, or stop by the office to get one if you are in the area. Once you have accepted your quote we will send you the lease agreement and invoice.

An admin fee of R 250,00 is required.

Yes you do, we require a lease per unit. The lease contains our terms and conditions as well as our rental fee per month. All our leases are done on a month-to-month basis so you don’t have t worry about being tied into any long term lease. You can choose the leasing period yourself as it is your storage, your way.

One month, if you call now we can quote you on short term leases of three months or less.

Your first payment will be a direct deposit into our bank account. You’ll be asked to use the reference “New and Your Name”. This way we know you are a new tenant. Thereafter you will pay the monthly rental by direct deposit. Pay for three months. On this option we’ll send you quarterly invoices (preferred by our business clients) or payments can be made by credit card.

You’ll not have to worry about penalties for late payments as you’ll either be on debit order or would have paid up front. However if your debit order fails or you do not make your quarterly payment for whatever reason, we’ll be forced to add a R250 (minimum) late payment fee.

This is very easy. All we ask for a full calendar months’ notice.

If you require a refund we’ll send it to you 30 days after you vacate.

ABOUT THE SELF STORAGE UNIT

Totally secure, we have individual units that only you have access to. You’ll be the only person with the lock and key and you have full control over who enters. Our storage facilities have access control and managers who patrol regularly, in addition the facilities have alarms and electric fencing.

Yes you will. This is to ensure only you have access to your unit. You supply your own padlock.

Although our self-storage facilities are safe and secure, we do not insure your possessions. The advice we give all our clients is that they would speak with their insurance company which steps should be taken in this regard. Even though we do not envision any fires, theft or floods as a company we cannot be held responsible should they occur? We also cannot be held responsible for any personal injury incurred at our facilities.

All our facilities are open Monday to Sunday from 07h00 to 17h00.

As a rule no, although we’ll obviously not allow the storage of any illegal substances or any proceeds from crime. We also do not allow any flammable and perishable goods. (Foodstuffs for instance)

ABOUT THE SELF STORAGE UNIT

We’ll need written notice 30 days in advance.

Notice must be submitted in writing at least 30 days in advance. We require a full calendar month notice. So if you wish to move out say the end of July, you would need to give us notice by July 1st at latest.

Sure, absolutely. Just state in your request that you’d like to use your deposit for your notice month.

If it is after the first day of the month, you’ll need to pay rent for the following month as that would be considered your notice period. However you may move out at any time, if all your payments are up to date.

If the notice appeared informing you that you are liable for the next month’s rental, it’s because you’re making a request after the first day of the month. This means you have missed the cut off for this month and can only give notice for the end of next month. If you feel this is incorrect, please give us a call.

All our facilities are open Monday to Sunday from 07h00 to 17h00. You may vacate any time during these hours.
